Meet Julie
Hi, I'm Julie, and I'm looking forward to meeting you...
I’m a Mum of 3 children. I have been so blessed to have the important role of being a Mum, and having a close relationship with my own Mum.
I’ve loved being a teacher of children and adults for over 20 years, helping others embrace themselves and reach their potential. My mission is to empower the current and future generation of women. We are living in difficult times these days, and we need to be proactive about the mental health. As women and girls, we are impacted by social media & technology. We never feel we are "good enough". We all crave kindness, connection and support.
I founded Sensational Girls Network in 2020. I have loved my research of Positive Psychology to put together the SGN programs, including Support & Events for Women, Mother Daughter Retreat, Mother Daughter Workshops, and the Sensational Girl Power program for ages 6 & up.
I valued quality time with each of my children. Mums work extremely hard these days trying to juggle it all and often feel guilty. Our busy schedules require planning and intention to fit in one-on-one time. It also requires you to look after your own self care, as your identity can often get lost in "just being a Mum".
I've had great times and challenging times throughout my life, as we all have, but in times of adversity, women support women.
And especially in times of empty nest and getting older, we need to find our identity as a woman.
The greatest protective factor for a girl's mental health is a connection with a trusted adult. If you have a daughter, I invite you to be proactive to empower her with the message that she is loved unconditionally, and to look after yourself, as you need to put your own "oxygen mask" first, so you can be the best Mum and woman you want to be.

Julie is an experienced presenter, working with women for several years and supporting them on their individual journeys. Julie comes highly recommended as a woman who is trusted to give support, motivation and encouragement. Julie has a wonderful ability to be able to speak to and connect to all women to develop an inspiring relationship.
Julie has been a local teacher for over 20 years, born and bred in Townsville and loves it! She wrote her first book for Mums in 2011, “A Mother’s K.I.S.S.” for under 8’s, and followed up quickly with a second book “Kids Ideas: Simple & Sensational” for over 8’s.
